FAQ
Common questions about the RebateTrail hotel cashback platform
What is RebateTrail?
RebateTrail is an all-in-one hotel cashback platform. Simply add our IATA code when booking on a hotel website, and you'll receive 5–7% cashback on your room rate after checkout. The process doesn't affect your booking price or hotel experience.
How is the cashback amount calculated?
Cashback is typically 5–7% of the base room rate. The exact percentage depends on the hotel brand, room type, and booking channel. You can view the estimated cashback in your claim details after submitting.
How long until the cashback arrives?
Usually 4–9 weeks after checkout. Hotel groups need time to complete their settlement process. If it takes more than 10 weeks, file an appeal from that rebate's detail page and we'll check the commission status with the hotel.
Which hotel groups are supported?
All major international hotel groups are supported. IHG, Marriott, Hilton (outside Mainland China), and Hyatt are fully integrated and cover every brand under those four chains. Accor, Mandarin Oriental, Rosewood, Four Seasons, The Peninsula, The Fullerton, Wyndham, and Aman are also supported. In principle, any hotel that accepts the IATA code the IATA code shown on this site at booking can be processed for cashback, though coverage may vary by individual property.
What is an IATA code?
An IATA code is an identification number assigned by the International Air Transport Association to identify travel agents. Our IATA code is the IATA code shown on this site — enter it when booking on a hotel website so the hotel can link the booking to our cashback service.
Will it affect my hotel loyalty status or points?
No. Using RebateTrail won't affect your loyalty tier, points accrual, or member benefits in any hotel loyalty program. Everything remains completely unaffected.
How do I confirm a rate is eligible for cashback?
When selecting a room type on the hotel website, look for the "Commissionable Rate" label. Only rates with this label are eligible for cashback. Most publicly available rates on hotel websites are commissionable.
